On the day of Youth it's been 6 years since Foundation Together Kosova gave youth more than words. FTK gave one of the most successful platforms that remains open, available and accessible for youth not only on Youth Day, but every day.
With complete anonymity, protected and inviolable, young people 6 years from now has a place that reminds each one of them that we are not alone in questions, our comments and challenges that confront us daily.

Promoting the involvement of fathers to spend their free time with their children through reading

June 1, 2016, the event which aimed connecting children and fathers through reading was held on International Children's Day, and during this occasion books were distributed to children.

In preparation of this event, held on International Children's Day, teachers and school principals in Prishtina, and also teachers of Albanian language were contacted by FTK and UNICEF. Students of these schools donated books, which were then gathered by UNICEF and were distributed to children at this event.

Prishtina Half Marathon  2016

Foundation Together Kosova is part of Prishtina Half Marathon since 2013 with the purpose of promoting healthy lifestyle among youth. In addition, Half Marathon 2016 was focused on parents (fathers), with the aim of encouraging fathers to be involved in the care and development of their children, this time through reading.

On Half Marathon day, famous fathers from all over Kosovo were interviewed to share with us how they are involved in the growth and development of their children.

E-counselling for youth in Kosovo – Jul 2013 – May 2017

NUKJEVET.NET provides an appropriate platform and safe environment for youth to talk about most pressing issues that concern them. The project provides free 24/7 online counseling from the top experts in the country, in anonymous mode to young people on issues of mental health and other issues that concern them while growing up. On the website www.nukjevet.net youth can be consulted and also can read articles on various issues. According to the statistics the current number of visitors of this web page is 1,529,238 page views.

Control-group study on teacher performance in Natural Sciences (1-5) and Mathematics (1-5) and (6-9) (CDBE) – Oct 2014

The project was based on adopting a systemic approach to school development, working on different levels and dimensions. Capacity Development in the Basic Education Sector in Kosovo (CDBE) focus was on the implementation of measures within the sector strategy aiming to strengthen capacities, improvement of school management and leadership, to build up teachers in professional development and supporting non formal education programs as an integral part of an inclusive education system.

In all these various interventions such as courses and trainings were being implemented; relevant courses in the context of this consultancy was the Teacher Training on Natural Science teacher training for grade 1-5 (Phase two and phase three).

Baseline Study on Different Dimensions of DV/GBV – Apr 2012 – Apr 2013

The project aimed to conduct a baseline study on different dimensions of DV/GBV perception, prevalence and risk factors as part of the UNKT Joint Program on Domestic Violence in Kosovo. In order to capture the comprehensive phenomenon of DV/GBV in the pilot municipalities Dragash/Dragas, Gjakovë/Djakovica, and Gjilan/Gnjilane the study focused on identifying types of services for survivors and witnesses of DV/GBV as well as community strengths and intervention strategies to prevent and to respond to DV/GBV. Results of the project were presented in the Final Report.

The project aimed to develop a questionnaire which is related to identifying the appropriate labor market for various types of positions; research on salaries; existence of different job positions and comparing the salaries; and employ ability and salaries within families.

The process of developing questionnaire was as follows: consultations with SOS team, developing the pilot questionnaire, etc. All questions were developed in consultations with and approved by the SOS.

The study provided evidence of the level of usage of alcohol, tobacco and drugs among Kosovar adolescent’s compared to the other European Countries which resulted with the publication of the final report.

The project aimed to functionalize an online questionnaire for measuring career orientation in order to provide support with a wealth of useful information deriving from the report as well as, is to ensure psychometric data on used questionnaire, hence adapt it in our culture.

The project resulted with the publishing of the questionnaire on the website nukjevet.net, where young people can fill in and based on the result they get, it can help them in choosing their career.

Prevention of Peer Violence in schools – Mar 2010 – Nov 2011

The project aimed to train principals of the schools and teachers on identifying, preventing and decreasing the level of peer violence in primary schools, as well as implement different activities on raising awareness and prevention of peer violence with students.

The project resulted with: training of 45 principals and teachers of 10 primary schools. The project resulted with ToT trainings of more than 900 teachers from the other elementary schools in Prishtina region. Project involved all together more than 4500 students from 20 schools of Prishtina region. The project was publicly presented at the first National Conference on Prevention of Peer Violence in Kosovo, held in October 2010.

Consultancy analysis on Child Protection and Special Needs Education in South Mitrovica – Mar 2010 – June 2010

The objective of the project was to conduct participatory baseline assessment of existing social services for children and families; conduct participatory baseline assessment of children with special needs and finally based on the assessments findings, to support local social services of authorities to develop action plan for social services.

The project did provide the documentation of the quality of education services for children with special needs; identification of the biggest challenges and opportunities for strengthening the quality of education for children with special needs, and finally to better understanding of the linkages between current situation and the policies in place in regard to education of children with special needs.

E- support for youth in distress – www.nukjevet.net – Aug 2010 – Apr 2011

The project aimed to develop an interactive web page for youth in Kosovo which provide online counseling.
This project provided with the lunching of the interactive web page (www.nukjevet.net) which provide online counseling for adolescents in Kosovo by 25 experts from different fields such as psychologist, dermatologist, medical doctors, gynecologist etc.

The project unable Kosovar adolescents to express their issues and problems they face and receive answers from the experts within 72 hours. Moreover, the web page provides educational articles written by experts and psychologists covering topics that are most usually raised by young people. According to the statistics the current number of visitors of this web page is 47270 visitors.

Strengthening of the capacities of emergency medical services in proper identification and recording of the suicide attempts, suicide and self- harm. – Oct 2009 – Dec 2009

The project aimed on strengthening of the capacities of the ER medical staff on identifying suicide attempts, suicide and self- harm. During the project 130 emergency medical staff was trained.

The project resulted with increased knowledge of the participants to distinguish the spectrum of various self-harm and suicide related behaviors. Data collection sheet on evaluation and registration of suicide related behaviors to all regional emergencies medical services were presented and disseminated in all ER centers in Kosovo

Consultancy work on evaluation of the awareness and satisfaction with the KPC resettlement program. – Oct 2009 – Dec 2009

The objective of the project was to analyze whether a representative sample of Kosovo society are aware of the existence of the KPC resettlement program, of the pension scheme, administrated by the government of Kosovo and whether they are satisfied with the overall support provided.

The study provided evidence on awareness of Kosovo general public on existence of the KPC resettlements program, pension scheme administrated by the Kosovo government and Kosovo society satisfaction with the support provided by the program.

Population study on perception of Kosovo population on civil society – Oct 2009

This research aimed to asses civil society needs and served as a planning tool in order to understand the initiatives for strengthening of civil societies.

This final result of the study was: production, distribution and advocacy of the analytic report of civil society in Kosovo and production, distribution and advocacy of the civil society policies documents.

Prevention of Suicide and Self-Harm among Youth of Kosovo – May 2009

The project aimed to prevent suicide and suicide attempts and self-harm among youth in Kosovo and supported the organization of the second International conference on prevention of suicide and self-harm among youth in Kosovo. The Conference was organized in cooperation with Prime Ministers’ Office (Office for Good Governance) and WHO.
